Recombinant human maspin (rhMaspin)
Product Description
Recombinant human maspin (rhMaspin, rhB5)
Member of the Ov-serpin family. Type II tumor suppressor and epithelial specific regulator of cell adhesion, proliferation, motility, apoptosis and angiogenesis. Tissue specific expression is epigenetically controlled and regulated via methylation. Maspin reportedly binds and regulates the activities of numerous intra- and extra-cellular proteins including pro-uPA/uPA, HDAC1, IRF6, and beta 1 integrins. May affect cell adhesion and cytoskeletal reorganization through a beta 1-integrin mediated signal transduction pathway involving ILK and FAK [1-5].
